Terms & conditionsIn the event of fire, flooding, public disturbance, terrorist activity or any other threat to the public, we will not be responsible in any way for evacuating the venue or building unless the fire regulations for the venue specify otherwise. This would usually mean a vocal announcement where possible and our artist/s will be pleased to assist with this if requested. Our artist/s will need approximately 1 hour to obtain entry and set up, prior to the start time of the event and a similar time allowance at the end of the event to pack up. A minimum of 2 x 13 amp sockets (preferably on separate circuits) will be required by the artist/s to power the equipment and this should be within 10 feet of the set up area unless it is a large event when additional time would be needed. This time can be reduced if access is good and the artist/s are familiar with the venue. The company reserve the right to refuse work in venues which have sound limiting devices installed should it be deemed necessary to do so. Our equipment will be connected with a surge protector as standard for our own peace of mind but if a sound limiting device is fitted, a smaller show with less volume can be provided. Many sound limiters work by cutting the mains power at source and a sudden power loss is very likely to cause serious damage to computer based sound equipment and controlled lighting. Sudden power loss can also cause expensive damage to speakers and amplification hardware. The venue will be fully liable for the cost of any repairs if damage is caused from such a device to audio or lighting equipment. The alternative course of action is for the Hirer/Promoter to agree to provide an uninterrupted source of power supply and/or an understanding between the venue management and the artist/s that the volume is kept to an acceptable level. A power supply not connected to the limiter is another acceptable alternative should limiters of this type be installed. If additional entertainment (e.g. Singer, Comic, Band etc.) is booked alongside the company’s Disco or Karaoke, consideration must be given for the amount of space available for the equipment used by our artist/s such as speaker and lighting frames. Location is usually best at a good equal distance either side from the position of the presenter. An area of approximately 12ft x 8ft is required for our Disco and/or Karaoke equipment with a ceiling height exceeding 7ft for lighting rigs. For larger events, a site visit may be needed to prepare an equipment plan and this may also result in the review of our original quotation if additional equipment needs to be added. Connection of any other artist/s equipment to our own may be allowed upon proof of it being PAT tested and conforming to the HSE - EAW Act 1989, and any amendments thereafter.
