Our equipment

SOUND: The quality of sound equipment used can make or break a party and it is very difficult to tell whether the computerised system is being used or the CD deck. Some Discos in Leicester use computer equipment producing poor sound quality with distorted, unintelligible music which has been illegally downloaded from the internet without the operator possessing a licence. This type of noise can lead to headaches and irritated party guests plus the disco hirer is helping to promote an illicit practice. We play CDs using only industry standard equipment that is designed specifically for this purpose, and only from respected manufacturers for the best quality. The equipment is all tested annually by an independent highly qualified electrician to ensure safety and to meet the required standards for issuing a PAT (Portable Appliance Test) Certificate.

Everything is tested before we leave for the venue and the equipment we use varies depending on the type of event, venue and client’s specifications. Depending on the event, we use a combination of active and passive speakers to achieve an adequate sound level which gives better sound quality and reliability. It also means we can create the desired atmosphere on the dance floor without necessarily having to crank-up the volume so high that people elsewhere in the room can’t have a conversation.

The fact we use the latest technology to help deliver you the best quality sound and lighting available is just one of them and we only use professional grade equipment. This benefits you the customer in many ways, but most of all if gives us both the assurance that it's less likely to break down. We carry many spares and tools for repair including battery backup which is on hand just in case of an unexpected power cut. Our Disco rig consists of a 1400 Watt 4 speaker sound system. All of our 72,000 music tracks are computer indexed, and we can find the CD for your requests within seconds. Our music collection contains music from the 1930's through to the latest charts. To keep up to date, we are sent the latest chart hits every week by regularly subscribing to a specialist provider in the trade and we are amazed sometimes at what's included in each weeks supply! Organisers can specify the general genre of the music, and can even specify individual songs (or even the whole play list) for the event in advance. This actually saves us time and ensures the right tunes are selected. Our hi-tech lighting system comprises of 12 sets of assorted multi-beam lights with synchronized multi-patterns, a twin beam laser, strobe light together with a smoke machine which is used for improved effect. These are all mounted on our 12 foot wide goalpost lighting rig and we can control the lights depending on the music or leave them on automatic response. This way we can generate different effects for different types and moods of music. Whatever your requirements, we can tailor a disco to suit your needs and sometimes it isn‘t necessary to have much equipment because of the room size so we can just provide the bare minimum of a couple of T bar stands with just a few lights if that is the case. We also have a variety of extra equipment you might want to make use of and a list can be found in this site. The sound and output will vary according to the size of each venue, but don’t worry - we will not crank the volume up too much unless requested. Our PA equipment can be used for presenting a speech at your event but our insurance policy does not permit it to be used by other entertainers. Cheap equipment will always let you down, we know this as it's happened to us when we started many years ago. These days technology is very advanced and you get what you pay for. We pay a lot for our equipment so we don't pay the price for failure on the night! All our electrical equipment is tested regularly and we provide PAT certificates where required. With many venues asking for these certificates it's always best to know. The last thing you need is to cancel at the last minute because the venue management is insisting on something your chosen Disco company does not have.
